Opening party at ÅBEN Brewery - an evening of processes with Kitchen Collective and special guests

The opening party for CAFx’ hub ‘Symbiotic Commons’ in the Meatpacking District will celebrate processes through food, drinks and discussions.

Come and join the celebration of the first evening of the Copenhagen Architecture Festival at ÅBEN Brewery with tours of the brewery production, talks, and discussions about the future of the Meatpacking District

The talks will take place around a model of Kødbyen made entirely from unwanted materials sourced within the neighbourhood as a result of an architectural mapping. The model is functioning as a manifestation of how we are interacting via material connections and use of resources in the Meatpacking District.

ÅBEN Brewery will be selling a wide selection of beers from their own production, and you will also have the possibility to try EVOO´s tasteful creations made with surplus food from the neighbourhood. Throughout the evening there will be musical elements provided by Musikforeningen Vesterbro making sure to kickstart a both aesthetic and instructive festival.

About EVOO

In a new pop up collaboration between restaurant Evoo and Kitchen Collective, you will get delicious plates prepared by Evoo’s head chef in one of the city’s most vibrant districts, Kødbyen.

Italian chef with Michelin experience, owner and head chef, Marco Maccarini, was born and raised in Italy near Genoa, known for their focaccia and pesto. Since 2010, he has been a chef at several renowned restaurants in Copenhagen – including those with Michelin recommendations and stars, such as Noma, AOC and Era Ora, to name a few.

His menus like to draw on his own Italian roots and recipes. the menus are homemade with good, local ingredients. Evoo stands for Extra Virgin Olive Oil and, like extra virgin olive oil, his cooking is simple, tasty and unrefined.
