Recycled Architecture in South Ørestad

Recycled architecture and circular economy set the agenda in the construction industry. Architects and building contracters are rethinking houses and buildings.

During this 1,5 hour walking tour in South Ørestad, you will see four distinctive recycled and upcycled buildings. We start the tour visiting the beautiful atrium in Copenhagen Towers/Hotel Crowne Plaza. Hear about the first CO2-neutral hotel in Denmark and why it has won several awards for its sustainability.

Lendager Achitects is the company behind two new visionary residential properties that are getting a lot of attention. We will see Ressorcerækkerne (Resource Rows) and Upcycle Studios - both built from recycled materials.

We end the tour by the construction site of The UN17 Village to see the exhibition that present this coming 'Beacon of Sustainable construction'. The UN's 17 World Goals have been launched to increase people's physical and mental quality of life worldwide, and with the UN17 Village NREP is developing a complex with the ambitious goal of integrating all 17 World Goals in this one project.
