Åben Festival - Your Cultural Festival at Østerbro and Nordhavn

Åben Festival is Østerbro and Nordhavns new cultural festival arranged by Kulturdistriktet. Together we will cherish diversity, creativity and new relations across the local areas pulsing cultural life. The festival creates new possibilities and perspectives on the city and the culture, both for experienced and new cultural creators, but also for the audience of the festival. Åben Festival opens the city and lets the city and its architecture be the scene for culture, community and experience.

Åben Festival has in the past years managed to stage the city, iconic buildings and new areas in a new and different way. You could for example experience the mysterious Østre Elværk, where you in the evening also could experience music and flamenco dance. You can also explore new places in Nordhavn, which is in rapid development, or be a part of the yearly cultural parade which salutes diversity and culture, and creates a bridge between the established Østerbro and the new Nordhavn. Besides that you can also experience art, eat good food, participate in workshops or debates and much much more.
